Rules

1) NO cheating (seriously, people!)
2) No yelling out answers

FORMAT

Each game consists of six rounds (5 regulation rounds, including a picture round and an audio round, and one final bonus round). Each round consists of ten questions and each question is worth 10 points. The final bonus round also features the final question of the night (a 10-part answer that teams have just a few minutes to complete) which is worth 100 points in and of itself.

Teams have the option to double the point value of any one of the first five rounds by indicating to the host (prior to the scoring of their answer sheet) that they wish to “double down” on that particular round. At the conclusion of each round, the host will score the answer sheet in front of the participating teams in order to ensure accuracy and transparency.

The team with the highest cumulative score at the end of the night is the winner. In the event of a tie, a tie-breaker question will be asked simultaneously to one representative of each team sent to the front of the room to write their answer down on a piece of paper provided to them. The question will always prompt a numerical answer (i.e. asking for a particular year an event occurred) and the team closest to the correct answer wins the tie-break.

Competing teams can be made up of one to ten people.

Sample Question

Questions cover a variety of topics, ranging from sports to history to current events.

A sample question may look like this...

Q: Meaning “without ruler” in Greek, what lawless state of society was championed by the Sex Pistols in the 1970s?

A: Anarchy

Naturally, questions change each and every week. The level of difficulty will reflect the aptitude of the players, so smarten up!
